About Dr. Sheetal Sawankar

Dr. Sheetal Sawankar is a Gynecology and Fertility expert in Juhu, Mumbai. She is specialized in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) including Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET), Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF). She is also an expert in Minimally Invasive Surgeries such as Testicular/ Epididymal Sperm Aspiration(TESA), Micro Epididymal Sperm Aspiration(MESA), Endoscopic Surgery.

She attained her MBBS degree and pursued Master in Surgery(MS) in Reproductive Medicine. She completed her MS from Homerton University Hospital Foundation Trust from London, UK in 2010. Being a brilliant student, Dr. Sheetal Sawankar decided to do Diplomate of National Board(DNB) from International School of Medicine in Keil, Germany. She was a very passionate and dedicated student which helped her become a Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences(MNAMS) and Indian Medical Association (IMA). During her early years of practice, she received a membership award from Fellowship in Advanced Infertility & ART.

The Mumbai Obstetrics and Gynecology Society(MOGS) also awarded her with Shantabai Gulabchand Travelling Fellowship for overseas studies in 2015. A year later, she received Dr. N.A. Purandare award for the paper presentation on “Comparison of IVF outcomes between Minimal stimulation and Conventional high dose stimulation for patients with poor Ovarian Reserve” during the MOGS Annual Conference.

She is extremely dedicated to working & bears excellent communication skills.She has many chapters published on the subject in various textbooks and has attended multiple conferences, CMEs and workshops. She started her career as a Fertility Specialist at Rotunda-The Center for Human Reproduction, for a period of 4 years. Dr. Sheetal Sawankar also acquired specialization in Infertility management with substantial work experience at Rotunda IVF Center & Seven Hills Hospital.Today, Dr. Sheetal Sawankar is the General Manager of Gynecology & Fertility Department at Morpheus IVF and also operates as Medical Director of Morpheus Juhu Fertility Center.
